I’ve recently got together with Urban Forage and will be running some collaborations as well as my “WALKS” at Stanmer Park. You’ll find information below on both and the upcoming dates.
WALKS: Flavour-Led Foraging walks are an introduction to foraging for flavour in order to teach on the rules and regulations, identification techniques, and the risks associated with wild food and drink. Throughout the walk we will identify seasonal ingredients and compare and contrast with their dangerous counterparts. During this I will be regularly visiting certain techniques of preservation and ways in which to create tasty wild ingredients to use at home along with a few tasters along the way.
For each type of fungi and also plants I will discuss techniques of preservation and ways in which to create tasty wild ingredients that can be used at home. I will follow up with detailed information surrounding what we have seen throughout the walk, links, literature and remain available to answer questions.
A further confirmation email will be sent 3 days prior to the Walk where any special requests and dietary requirements can be discussed.

FLAVOUR FRED x URBAN FORAGE Christian and I recently got together to talk about a couple of hands-on sessions with groups looking to learn about some of our favourite ways to find, cook and preserve some of the best flavour season by season. To start we 2 dates have been allocated for Wild Garlic (6th April 2025) & Elderflower (7th June 2025) starting at 11am with a 2.5 hour flavour-led foraging walk followed by demonstrations (examples below) from us at 2pm including tips & tricks as well as some tasty food & drink throughout. Finishing at 4pm with a full follow-up provided of whats been seen and discussed.
